Hire me for a watercolor party!
Host at your house or mine, invite your friends or family and we’ll learn how to paint from a selection of paintings varying in difficulty. See photos for some of the options I’ve had experience teaching.
Each person attending pays $50 for supplies and the lesson. Reserve a date with an initial $50 deposit through my website, then each additional person invited can venmo me $50 @grace-guthrey or zelle me at 214-394-1217 at any time leading up to the event. I will teach you a few basic techniques in watercolor including how to paint a basic wash, playing with the amount of water vs. pigment to use and the wet-on-wet method. Then we will continue to paint the selected piece step-by-step!
Each person gets a full palette of paints, poured from my own collection of professional grade watercolors, a 6-well palette for mixing colors, watercolor paper and a brush. I have kits available for purchase at the end of the session for anyone interested.
Limit to 12 people per party! Wine and snacks highly recommended :)
