Here are some things I’ve built with my own two hands! Furniture, architectural models, charette pieces and more.

Hygge chair

Spring 2018

Using walnut scraps from the Cal Poly woodshop, I created this chair made up of a welded steel structure, combined with two removeable walnut pieces that are friction-fitted into the frame.

record table

Fall 2019

Working with my thesis color palette, I decided to create a music and art station with rockite as the structural elements and steel and acrylic pieces as the horizontal connectors. A groove is built into the two angular pieces for you to display a vinyl record sleeve. All pieces are friction-fitted and there are no hard connections. The piece can be disassembled and carried from one location to another easily.

welded forms

Summer 2018

On my study abroad trip to Switzerland, we got to meet and work with a sculpture artist whose specialty was welding with steel. He led a workshop where we got to create our own abstract forms with scrap metal from his shop.
